Tonight, players started arriving for the first ever European Challenge Tour tournament in the history of Slovakia. Most of the participants of the D+D REAL Slovakia Challenge are coming from the tournament played in Bad Griesbach, Germany; others are on their way from the prestigious Open de France – the oldest European Tour tournament in continental Europe.
Thomas Linard who made the cut in Paris and is also the winner of the recent D+D REAL Czech Challenge or Andrew McArthur who did very well in Paris as well as at the Irish Open are heading towards the Penati Golf Resort. Andreas Harto, another former winner of Czech Challenge or Julien Guerrier who has played Masters at Augusta in the past are both getting on the same flight to Vienna. Most players are staying in Holiday Inn Trnava. Monday and Tuesday will be dedicated to training at the Legend Course. There are total of 156 players participating in the tournament, four of which were born in Slovakia.
