Experience – that is the feature the leaders of first round of the D+D REAL Slovakia Challenge have in common. The 41-year-old Englishman Robert Coles and the 35-year-old Scotchman Andrew McArthur played -7. They have set the new Legend course record of 65 shots. Coles wrote down 8 birdies. He only made one little mistake on the 10th where he hit a bogey. McArthur is one of the eight players of the first day with a clean scorecard. The Scottish golfer has been put through a test during several European Tour tournaments in the last months, he did best at the Irish Open where he finished 58th.
Out of the Czech golfers, Filip Mruzek was the one with the best score. He keeps his 11th position with 68 shots. Having worked for the golf academy at Penati he knows the local golf course very well. He already used this to his advantage when qualifying or the tournament card – he was the one to win the qualifying tournament organized by the resort. Petr Gal, too, played under par, occupying the 37th position with 70 shots. Marek Novy and Ondrej Lieser are Even. Adam Rajmont and Stanislav Matus finshed +1. Lukas Tintera who started on 74 also stands a chance to make it through the cut.
Out of the Slovakian golfers, Juraj Zvarik and the amateur Petr Valasek, both with the score of 72, did best and share the 69th position.
